Octobers News…
October arrived and brought in our busiest time of year as the flat and jump season crossover! Sisters in the Sky continued his fantastic year for Paul and Anne De Weck notching up his 3rd win of the year under Finley Marsh at Wolverhampton pulling away from the field a shade cosily by 1 and ¾ lengths. He went on to finish the month finishing an eye-catching 4th at Bath running on late and catching the eye.
Saffredi a new recruit to the yard improved from his debut run for the yard when claiming 5th at Wolverhampton showing some great early pace to be beaten just 2 lengths. Freddie as he is known in the yard showed that same early pace over the shorter 6f just 12 days later winning by ½ length for his owner Adam Virgo.
So Smart continued his brilliant season with another fine run up at Leicester finished 3rd behind two very well handicapped horses on heavy ground, only being caught late on.
Sexy Rexy another of our All-Weather specialists ran another fine race at Wolverhampton finishing 3rd beaten just 2 lengths behind the winner after making some impressive late headway.
As October begins and Autumn rolls in so do our jumpers and it was great to see yard favourite Karakoram run another fantastic race on his comeback to gain a 6th win for us winning by 1 ¼ lengths with him and the second pulling 14 lengths clear of the rest of the field.
We also saw some new faces at the start of the jump season notably Brownstone, Baikal, Sheeka Supreme and Maria’s Joy all making their debuts for the yard during this month providing us with plenty to look forward to in the future!
Lets hope this fantastic form continues on into the winter
