A little bit about

Grace Harris Racing

Grace Harris became the youngest dual purpose, Flat and National Hunt, race horse trainer in the UK after being granted her licence by the BHA in February 2014.

She also gained a big achievement in becoming sponsored by Redrow Homes South West in July 2014. Grace who is based in Shirenewton near Chepstow, Monmouthshire, South Wales, UK joins the growing number of female race horse trainers in the UK.

Grace, together with her team, has many years' experience working with some of the top racehorse trainers in England, Wales and Ireland.

Her training philosophy is to provide a tailored regime for each race horse, whether Flat or National Hunt horse racing, in order to ensure that they can perform to the best of their ability. As evident from our first season's results, this personal approach delivers success not only with young horses but also with seasoned campaigners who previously had lost interest in racing.

Her new exciting venture with her small invaluable team is run from Home Farm which is set in the heart of Monmouthshire, Wales just 3 miles from Chepstow Racecourse, therefore very accessible to all the major roads. The yard is surrounded by 450 acres of grassland and private tracks, which means our horses are constantly seeing different scenery and keeping their minds active, something that in our minds is a must for racehorses.

We pride ourselves in the standard of care given to our horses and the individual treatment provided as we appreciate that all horses are different.

Michelle Harris

Assistant Trainer
My Mum is an integral part of the yard. Lucky for me she does all of my paperwork and keeps everything in working order. She is always on hand to muck in with anything that needs doing, wether its taking horses to the races or general yard duties. She is also the go to person for a cup of coffee when visiting the yard.
