JANUARY 2023….
Happy New Year! to all our Owners, staff, suppliers and followers of the team here at Grace Harris Racing.
Just some interesting statistics from 2022, over 33% of ALL of our runners(flat and NH) finished in the first four and over51% of the runners achieved prize money! The GHR Racing Club had a tremendous year with club horse Karakoram. "Kenny" ran 14 times winning twice and was placed 11 times. Since we bought him in September 2018 he has won 4 races for us over hurdles and placed a total of 25 times. Over hurdles he has run a total of 43 times and won prize money on 42 of those runs! The only time he didn't was when he unluckily fell when going well at Warwick. The Racing Club is open for all to join, the cost for a couple is less than £1 a day, that looks incredible value for the amount of fun we've all had. Contact me for details or check out the web-site.
2023 looks to be a really exciting year for us. The investment made by Foxhills Racing at the Cheltenham November Sale resulted in GHR being entrusted with four new additions to our stable. So far three of those have run, My Girl Katie started at Ludlow in a decent novice hurdle with very encouraging fourth and she followed up at the same course with another good run finishing sixth. The Big Reveal ran a race full of promise at Chepstow on Welsh National day. Despite slipping on the bend going away from the stands he stayed on very well in a hot race to be fourth. Then the third of those purchases got 2023 off to the best possible start when Inion Tiogair won on her first run for us. Always prominent she took up the running and stayed on very impressively to win at 40/1 under a very well-judged ride from Conor Ring.
The horses clearly appear to be in good heart and we are looking forward to our next winner on the all-weather in the near future.
Take care everyone....
