June – September

Summer began with Connie’s Rose continuing her good form at her beloved Chepstow and Goodwood before getting her head in front again at Leicester under Darragh Keenan. Connie continued to run well throughout the summer competing in some tough races including in the Racing League at Chepstow, running a fine 5th. Connie was the model of consistency (a word which could be used to describe plenty of our horses this summer) and gained another success at Chepstow and finished within the top 5 in all 9 of her runs throughout this period. Savannah Smiles was desperate to get in on the act and finally got her reward for some consistency gaining her first of two victories under Callum Hutchinson at Chepstow. Her 2nd win at Chepstow came when she routed the field with a four length success helping Callum to ride out his claim. So Smart has proven to be another positive addition to the yard enjoying many successful runs topped off with a win at both local tracks Chepstow and Bath. Ladypacksapunch ran a huge race to finish 2nd at 33/1 in her first time visor at Bath before going one place better 2 weeks later and gaining a much deserved first win of her career at the same track. Sisters in the Sky continued the success of our flat team gaining his second victory since joining us winning cosily by 1.5 lengths under Kevin Stott.

A mention must also go out to Dynamite Katie who rediscovered her form to run 2 admirable 2nds at Chepstow against some well handicapped opposition.

As the flat season draws to an end it was fantastic to receive the leading trainer award at Chepstow with 5 wins, 5 2nds and 4 3rds. A huge congratulations to the whole team for this achievement at our local track.

With the flat season now drawing to a close, the jumpers are now well on their way with their preparation for the season ahead and hopefully we can see our good form continue into the winter months.
