I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! March was a quiet month for us but a productive one. We started and finished with a winner and both were well deserved and rewarded their consistency. Savannah Smiles won very impressively at Wolverhampton given a great ride from Rossa Ryan. Although Savannah went up 5lbs for the win she still ran another good race later in the month this time at Southwell, where despite being hampered a couple of times still finished well to take fourth. Ignore her latest run at Wolverhampton as she got unsettled in the stalls and was slowly away and that’s something you can’t afford to do when you are drawn on the wide outside at that track! March ended with another winner when Sisters in the Sky finally got off the mark for owners Paul and Ann with Finley Marsh producing this consistent gelding perfectly in the straight. One to keep an on when the ground improves is Halifax, we took him to Market Rasen in search of good going but the heavens opened as we arrived and the ground went heavy, nevertheless he ran well to be fourth and I like him a lot. All of our flat turf horses have been in for a while now and are progressing well and an exciting summer lies ahead. Just a reminder that we have a few shares left in Savannah Smiles, we bought her last June and since then she has won over £15,000 in prize money so is definitely a fun horse to have an interest in. We are also heading to the Tattersalls Guineas sales to add to our team and build on our success. If there is a horse there that you are interested in please give me a call.
